Next Friday is the long awaited launch of the long awaited 2012 Dine Out Vancouver festival!…  This delicious festival for foodies takes place from January 20 to February 5, 2012, and gives fans the opportunity to try an incredible choice of scrumptious menus throughout the city.  Foodies can test new venues, check out new chefs, nibble on new inventions and be amazed by the latest in culinary art!  Chef Lee Parsons from the award-winning Bacchus Restaurant and Lounge, will once again present a modern French menu inspired by local fresh ingredients… His dishes are all so tasty and mouthwatering, that we cannot wait to taste his Crisp Confit of Fraser Valley Duck, with Forestière Potatoes & Winter Kale, his Pan Seared Filet of Northern B.C. Coho Salmon with Risotto of Fennel, Lobster & Lemongrass Sauce, his Honey and Poached Pear Crème Brulée with Winter Spiced Sablé…and more!

Vancouver International Film Festival 2011 locations

The Vancouver International Film Festival is upon us. September 29 to October 14, 2011. As other Film Festivals around the world such as Cannes, Toronto, London, to name a few, film fests bring to off-Hollywood movie Fans the opportunity to see and experience life through the eyes of great creative minds from around the world. Movies that might not be distributed commercially after the film Fest. This year, Vancouver movie goers and visitors’ choice includes movies from Hong Kong, Egypt, Jordan, Denmark, Japan, India, Argentina, Angola, Belgium, France, Spain, Greece, Albania, China, USA, Canada and more…

These are two weeks where movie goers get to dive into another world, then they will dissect, critique and talk for hours about the meaning of it all with their fellow movie fans!

This year’s venues include The Empire Granville 7 Cinemas, The Pacific Cinematèque, Vancity Theatre and the Vogue Theatre, all just steps away from the Wedgewood Hotel & Spa in the heart of downtown Vancouver.
