CELEBRATIONS AT THE WEDGEWOOD HOTEL

B.C . --- Since the Wedgewood Hotel's opening, nearly 20 years ago,
celebrating the holiday season at the hotel has been no small affair.
Starting with American Thanksgiving in November, to the final pops
of champagne on New Years Eve, the season is celebrated in style
in the award-winning Bacchus Restaurant & Lounge, and throughout
the hotel. Beginning November 28, the hotel's elegant atmosphere
will be turned into a festive winter wonderland. And if that
isn't enough cheer for you, the Wedgewood Hotel Carol Singers will
be performing in the hotel lobby from noon to 1:30pm on December
9th , 10th , 16th , 17th , 22 nd and 23 rd .
Holiday stress is nothing new. Leave the shopping, cooking
and worrying behind and let the Wedgewood's hospitality relax and

AFTERNOON HOLIDAY TEA TIME
 After
spending a day in the hustle and bustle of Robson Street, stop by
the Wedgewood for a Traditional Afternoon Tea. The glittering
atmosphere is a perfect setting to enjoy the variety of infused
loose-leaf teas, decadent pastries, delicate finger sandwiches,
and homemade scones . Tea is served Saturdays and Sundays,
and on Boxing Day & New Years Day, fireside
in the Bacchus Lounge . Afternoon Tea is $25.00 per person
excluding tax and gratuity.
CHRISTMAS EVE IN BACCHUS
Bacchus is the place to be on the eve before
Christmas. Choose
from chef's modern French à la carte menu, and
our exclusive selection of fine wines, while listening to live
piano music from 5pm - 11pm in the romantic candlelit atmosphere
of Bacchus.
THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS DAY
 Pure
warmth and elegance in the finest European tradition is what you
will feel when you walk through the Wedgewood's
doors on Christmas Day. Christmas simply wouldn't be
Christmas without the smiles and laughter of children. That's
why the Wedgewood Hotel makes the season especially welcoming to
families with children. The Christmas theme is carried through
in the hotel's live entertainment, holiday menus and décor.
Bacchus restaurant will feature their à la carte brunch
and special Christmas three-course
turkey lunch from 11:00am to 1:30pm. The turkey lunch
is $52.00 for adults, and $20.00 for children 10 & under, excluding
tax and gratuity.
Executive
Chef will serve his most popular creations at a four-course Christmas
dinner with seatings at 4pm and 7pm. The dinner will
include Honey Roasted Carrot, Bean & Yam Soup, Salt Spring Island
Goat Cheese Salad and a choice of entrée: Turkey with
Traditional Trimmings, a choice of Grilled Alberta "Sterling Silver"
Beef Tenderloin, or Pavé of Wild BC Salmon. For dessert,
enjoy Warm Plum Pudding or Rhubarb Cheesecake, Coffee and Tea, while
listening to your favorite Christmas music. The price
will be $110.00 per adult, $45.00 per child 10 years and under,
excluding tax and gratuity. Reservations are required.
NEW YEAR'S EVE DINNER
Create
unforgettable memories this New Year's! Celebrate the night
in Bacchus with live entertainment and a delectable four-course
menu that will feature choices of Warm Baked Portobello Mushroom
or Cream of Atlantic Lobster Soup, Pan Roasted Pacific Halibut,
Beef Tenderloin, or Roasted Loin of Venison; Chocolate Cake, Stilton
Cheese, or Crème Brûlée with Coffee, Tea and
Petit Fours. Available for purchase throughout the night
will be vintage champagne, or wines from the extensive Bacchus wine
list. This four-course
menu , served from 6-10pm is $125.00 per person, excluding tax
and gratuity. Reservations by ticket sales only.
NEW YEARS DAY BRUNCH
Start
out 2005 with a hearty New Year's Day Brunch from Bacchus's à
la carte delicious selection from 10:30am to 3pm on January 1 st
, 2005.

NEW YEAR'S EVE PACKAGE If you haven't stayed at the Wedgewood
yet this year, then New Year's Eve is the night to do so! Ring
in the new year in one of the elegant guestrooms or suites with
a bottle of sparkling wine upon arrival, and a scrumptious four-course
New Year's Eve dinner. Starting at $483.00 CAD based on
double occupancy, excluding taxes & gratuities.
FESTIVE STAYOVER RATES The perfect
antidote to a busy winter season, the Wedgewood Hotel offers a specially
priced overnight rate during the month of December. Starting at
$150.00 CAD Sunday-Thursday and $180.00 CAD on Friday & Saturday
for an Executive Room. These rates are only extended to guests
who are attending Christmas Parties in the hotel or functions being
held in the Bacchus Restaurant and Lounge. All rates excluding
taxes.
