Vancouver Art Gallery

Queen Elizabeth Theatre
Built in 1959 by the city of Vancouver, the Queen Elizabeth Theatre is
the home of Vancouver Opera and Ballet British Columbia. The 70-foot wide
proscenium arch stage is the perfect multi-purpose venue for Broadway shows,
pop and rock concerts as well as opera and dance as well as live broadcast

Vancouver Symphony Orchestra
Founded in 1919 and having ended the celebration of its 75th Anniversary
in 1994, the Vancouver Symphony is the third largest symphony orchestra
in Canada and the seventh largest performing arts organization in the country.
The orchestra now presents more than 100 concerts each season, as well
as school concerts which reach more than 42,000 school children each year,
a series in New Westminster, and an annual provincial tour. The Vancouver
Symphony Orchestra is housed in the opulent Orpheum Theatre. Located two

The Orpheum
Originally opened on November 8, 1927 as a vaudeville house, the Orpheum
was the largest and most opulent theatre on the Pacific Coast. The City
of Vancouver purchased the theatre on March 19, 1974 and undertook a complete
restoration of the theatre's interior. The Orpheum re-opened on April 2,
1977, as the permanent home of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and a restored
concert hall that hosts a variety of pop, classical, choral and chamber
recitals, as well as being an ideal venue for concert recordings, conference

The Vogue Theatre

Vogue

and 500 in the balcony. The stage measures 60 ft. wide by 30
ft. deep with a proscenium arch 40 ft. wide by 25 ft. high.
The Vogue is an excellent venue for Awards Events and meetings
of all kinds. The Theatre houses two Cinnemacanica Victoria
10 dual 35MM/70MM dual projectors with fully functional Dolby
Sound with surrounds on both the main floor and the balcony. The screen
is 36' wide by 16'6" high and is one of only two Silver Screens in Vancouver.

Stanley Theatre
