Walk through the Hornby Street entrance and Bacchus Restaurant, the attention to detail is immediately apparent. You are instantly surrounded by luxury, with richly upholstered furniture, warm, dark wood, and light fixtures imported from Venice personally by founder Eleni Skalbania which extends the hotel’s brand of elegance. A large canvas depicting Bacchus himself, Greek god of wine and revelry, presides over the room. Guests enjoy live entertainment during the evenings in the lounge as well as weekend brunch and afternoon tea on Saturdays and Sundays.
Bacchus’ sophisticated décor is complemented by the creations of its young, energetic Executive Chef, David Hassell, who cleverly and innovatively, creates Modern French cuisine featuring ingredients indigenous to the West Coast.
